Deck Repair in Huntersville & Lake Norman
Lake Norman summers are hard on decks — heat, humidity, and afternoon storms turn small problems into soft boards and wobbly railings fast. Jetton Handyman handles the repairs that keep a deck safe and looking good: swapping rotted or splintered boards, re-securing or replacing railings, fixing sagging stairs, and re-staining or sealing to protect the wood.
We're straight with you about scope. Cosmetic board, railing, and stair work is squarely handyman territory. Anything structural — joists, beams, posts, or footings — or a brand-new deck is a permitted, licensed job, and we'll tell you which yours is before any work starts.

Common questions
Does deck repair need a permit?
Usually not for cosmetic work — replacing boards, railings, pickets, or stairs like-for-like. Structural work (joists, beams, posts, footings) or anything that changes an attached deck generally does need a permit. We'll tell you which yours is and help you understand what's required.
Can you build me a new deck?
New and custom decks are handled by our builder brand, Zipoli Builders, which carries the licensing for permitted structural work. We'll connect you.
Will the new boards match my old deck?
We match materials and stain as closely as we can. On older, weathered decks a re-stain or seal of the whole surface often gives the most uniform result.
