Smart-Home & Light Electrical in Huntersville & Lake Norman

Smart-home gear is only as good as its install. A video doorbell wired to the old chime, a smart lock that binds on a misaligned door, a thermostat missing its C-wire — these are the snags that send people back to the box. Jetton Handyman installs and actually sets them up: connected, calibrated, and working on your phone before we leave.

On the electrical side we stick to device-level work — swapping switches, dimmers, outlets, and light fixtures, and installing or replacing ceiling fans on existing, fan-rated boxes. With 10+ years of engineering experience behind every install, we work carefully and stay strictly within device-level scope. Anything that means a new circuit, a new panel, or opening up walls is licensed-electrician work, and we'll point you to one.

Common questions

What electrical work can a handyman do vs. an electrician?

We handle device-level swaps — switches, dimmers, outlets, fixtures, and ceiling fans on existing fan-rated boxes. New circuits, panel work, and anything inside the walls require a licensed electrician, and we'll refer you to one.

Can you set up the smart device, not just install it?

Yes — that's the difference. We connect it to your Wi-Fi, configure the app, and confirm it works on your phone before we leave.

My video doorbell needs power — can you handle the wiring?

If it replaces an existing wired doorbell, yes — we reuse the existing low-voltage wiring and chime and add a chime adapter where one's needed. If the transformer is undersized or there's no existing doorbell wiring, that's a job for a licensed electrician, and we'll point you to one.

Can you add a new outlet or move a switch?

No — adding a new outlet, moving a switch, or running new wiring means new circuits or opening the wall, which is licensed-electrician work. We swap existing devices in place and refer anything new in the wall to a licensed electrician.
